The short version

Bumpboard needs an App Store link and payment confirmation to deliver a bump. Stripe handles payment-card information; Bumpboard does not receive or store your full card number.

01

Information we collect

Submission information. We receive the App Store URL you submit and retrieve public app information such as the app name, icon, description, category, rating, and App Store identifier.

Transaction information. We receive payment status, amount, Stripe checkout identifiers, timestamps, and related records needed to provide the placement and prevent duplicate processing. Stripe collects the payment details you enter during checkout.

Technical information. Our hosting and security providers may process IP address, browser and device information, request timestamps, and diagnostic logs when you use the site.

Local preferences. The light or dark theme preference is stored in your browser. Bumpboard currently does not use that preference for advertising.

02

How we use information

We use information to verify App Store listings, process and confirm purchases, publish and rank apps on the weekly board, prevent fraud and abuse, troubleshoot the service, comply with legal obligations, and communicate about support or payment issues.

03

Information displayed publicly

Submitted app information and its Bumpboard position are public. Your full payment details are never displayed. Do not submit information that you are not authorized to make public.

04

Service providers and sharing

We use providers including Stripe for checkout and payment processing, Vercel for hosting, and Redis infrastructure for persistent board data. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies.

We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, during a business transaction, or to providers that help us operate Bumpboard.

05

Retention and international processing

We keep transaction and security records for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and meet legal or accounting obligations. Public app data may remain in operational records after the weekly board resets.

Our providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, they use safeguards intended to protect international transfers.

06

Your privacy choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal information. You may also have a right to data portability or to complain to a privacy regulator.

Send a request using the contact below. We may need to verify your identity and authority before completing it. You can clear the saved theme preference through your browser storage settings.

07

Security, children, and updates

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security. Bumpboard is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

We may update this policy as Bumpboard changes. The updated date at the top will show when revisions take effect.
